3 ON 3

SIMPLY THE MOST COMPETITIVE 3 ON 3 IN THE ATX

Our 3-on-3 basketball league promises to be highly competitive, as some of the best players regularly attend our middle school runs on Sundays. The league will feature separate divisions for boys and girls in both 8th and 7th grades, ensuring fair and exciting competition across all levels. Each division will be capped at six teams, with each team allowed a maximum roster of six players. This structure allows for up to 144 players to participate across all divisions, creating an inclusive yet competitive environment. With skilled players and a well-organized format, the league is set to deliver an exhilarating experience for everyone involved.

  • Grades & Divisions:

    • 8th Grade: Boys Division & Girls Division

    • 7th Grade: Boys Division & Girls Division

  • Team Limits: Each division is capped at 6 teams.

  • Roster Size: Each team can have up to 6 players.

Team Composition: Each team must have a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 6 players. Rosters are locked once the league begins.

  • Starting the Game:

    • A coin flip or rock-paper-scissors determines which team gets the first possession.

  • Scoring:

    • Field goals inside the three-point line are worth 1 point.

    • Field goals beyond the three-point line are worth 2 points.

    • Fouls result in the ball being taken out at the top of the key. *Flagrant Fouls / Excessive Fouling will result in 1 Free Throw + Possession.

  • Possession Changes:

    • Teams must “clear” the ball beyond the three-point line on every change of possession.

    • After a made basket, the opposing team starts with possession from the top of the key.

  • Fouls:

    • All fouls are called by the referee / monitor. Disputes are resolved 100% by the referee/monitor.

    • If a player commits excessive fouls, the referee may issue warnings or disqualifications.

  • Substitutions:

    • Teams may substitute players during dead-ball situations (e.g., out-of-bounds, after a made basket).

  • Timekeeping:

    • Games consist of two 9-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime, or if a team reaches 18 prior to "halftime" the game is over.

    • A running clock will be used, stopping only for injuries or referee decisions.
